Why do we go crazy during the holidays? Why do we lose our minds during this time of year; how often have you heard people completely stressed about the holidays? Why do we put ourselves through it?
I'm not saying be a Scrooge, but know when to say when; don't go shoving your Holiday Cheer down other people's throats...We all have our levels as to how much cheer we can be exposed to; respect the person to your right as well as the person's to your left bubble, he/she may not share your enthusiasm.
Egg nog is good, carolling is bad; trimming the tree is fine, feeding the rented reindeer is not. I have no issues with decorating; sometimes it brings out a little friendly neighborhood competition, but if my TV dims everytime you turn on your Christmas lights, then you have a problem.
If sunglasses must be worn in order to admire your lights, or if the fire department is on standby because of your Christmas lights addiction, then you need a couch and someone to talk to.
Yes, Christmas should be celebrated in good spirits; enjoy some gifts, make a fool out of yourself at the company Christmas party, and plan for that Holiday bonus you should receive. But just make sure the person next to you isn't soiled with your Yule-Tide Cheer.
nice post. thanks.
