Always Double-Check Your Address

A couple from Illinois decided to fly to the Bahamas in order to escape the freezing windy conditions of the Midwest.

The couple planned to stay at the same hotel in which they spent their honeymoon some 25 years earlier.

Unfortunately, because of their chaotic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel plans. The husband decided to fly down early Thursday, and his wife would fly down the following day, Friday morning.

After checking into the hotel, the husband spotted a computer in his room and decided to email his wife in order to let her know that he was safe and that he missed her; however, he accidentally misconstrued his wife’s email address by leaving out one very important letter.

Unknowingly, he sent out the email anyway.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Pennsylvania; a widow was returning home from her late husband's funeral.

Her husband was a minister, whom they believed was called home following a severe heart attack.

In her state of depression the widow decided to check her email expecting uplifting messages from family and friends. After reading the first message, the widow screamed then fainted; the widower’s son rushed into the den, found his mother on the floor, and what he saw on the computer screen was:

To: My Dearest Wife

Subject: I have arrived

Just arrived and have been checked in.

Hope you are OK, you may be surprised to hear from me; however, I will be patiently waiting for you.

They have computers here now and allow guests to send emails to loved ones.

I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then. Hope your journey goes as smoothly as mine.

Your Loving Husband

P.S. You won’t believe how hot it is down here!
