This year my husband and I decided to take a “staycation” and use our vacation time to relax at home.
Last year we took a big vacation to the Greek Isles, and it was so difficult to go back to work only one day after we got back. We both felt like we had bad hangovers for a whole week. I knew it would be nice to reconnect with my husband at home, and not have to be on the go the whole time. I was really excited about it, but of course when the week of our staycation came, we ended up running errands and taking care of things we promised each other we wouldn’t bother with. I went to http://www.directstartv.com/directv_programming/directv_total_choice.html and upgraded our Directv package, and also set up all of our bills on automatic bill pay. My husband cleaned out our gutters and painted our living room. We were still able to spend some time just relaxing, but definitely not enough. Being home and not taking care of things just doesn’t feel right. I think the whole idea of a staycation is good, but I’m not sure they really work.
